Dennis Broit (Chairman)
Dennis has more than 35 years experience in the property industry with specific expertise in the financing of property developments. Dennis had a long association with the Mirvac Group that began in 1983 and served as Mirvac’s Finance Director until his retirement in August 2005. Dennis is a Non-Executive Director of St Hilliers Property Pty Limited, the Retirement Village Group, The McConnell Group in New Zealand, GPT Funds Management Ltd and Planet Plumbing Group.
David Clarke
David Clarke was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer of Investec Bank Australia Limited (IBAL) in June 2009. David was previously the CEO of Allco Finance Group and a Director of AMP Limited, following five years at Westpac Banking Corporation where he held a number of senior roles, including Chief Executive of the Wealth Management Business, BT Financial Group. David has 25 years experience in investment banking, funds management, property and retail banking. He was previously employed at Lend Lease Corporation Limited where he was an Executive Director and Chief Executive of MLC Limited, and prior to this was Chief Executive of Lloyds Merchant Bank in London.
David Gonski AC
David is the Chairman of Investec Bank Australia Limited (IBAL) and has significant management, financial structuring and corporate advisory experience. He was a founder of Investec’s predecessor corporate advisory business, Wentworth Associates, and previously a partner at the law firm Freehills.
David is Chairman of ASX Limited, Coca-Cola Amatil Limited and the Sydney Theatre Company. He is also a Director of Singapore Airlines and is Chancellor of the University of NSW.
David is a Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of CPA Australia.
Geoffrey Levy AO
Geoff Levy retired as Executive Chairman of Investec Bank Australia Limited (IBAL) on 1 January 2008 and assumed the non-executive position of Deputy Chair. Geoff was previously CEO of IBAL, a principal of Wentworth Associates and before that a partner in the law firm, Freehills. He has over two decades of experience in the corporate advisory environment where he is regarded as an expert in mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings and general corporate commercial law. Geoff has been a director on a number of public and government boards and is currently a non-executive Chairman of ASX listed companies Cromwell Group Limited and Specialty Fashion Group Limited. He is currently Chairman of the Property Asset Utilisation Taskforce on behalf of the Government of New South Wales. Geoff was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia in the 2005 Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
Richard Longes
Richard is a Non-Executive Director of Investec Bank Australia Limited. He is currently Chairman of both Liberty Financial Pty Ltd and Austbrokers Holdings Limited. He is a Director of Boral Ltd and Metcash Limited. Richard was previously Chairman of MLC Ltd and General Property Trust, Deputy Chairman of Lend Lease Corporation, a founding principal of Wentworth Associates and a partner of the law firm Freehills.
Alan Chonowitz
Alan is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Investec Bank Australia Limited (IBAL). Alan has been an executive director of several listed and unlisted companies following seven years as a partner of a leading international firm of Chartered Accountants. Currently Alan is a Director of Investec Bank Australia Limited (IBAL) and a number of its subsidiaries.
Graeme Katz
Graeme joined Investec Bank Australia Limited (IBAL) to head up the Property Investments team. Prior to that he was General Manager of Investment Sales at Mirvac Group where he was the Key Person and Responsible Officer for the Mirvac Real Estate licence dealing with their registered and unregistered schemes. He has extensive experience in dealing with large scale mixed use staged developments including Newington, Docklands and Magenta Shores.
Graeme is a Director of IPL and a number of other companies within the Investec Group. He was previously a Director of the Property Investors Association of Australia.
